Team Sykes

Xander had really settled into an amazing routine when his four month shots came along. Couple that with Nate changing jobs unexpectedly (therefore he was the one at home that week instead of me) and Xander was completely off his game, and I was totally off my rocker. I have been back at work part-time, so to suddenly be back full-time, with no warning, had me really dragging.

So, the good news: Xander is back to his normal routine and *almost* as freakishly happy as ever, and Nate now works for a new company. PACSAT (www.pacsat.com) is a Sacramento based satellite truck contract company that was looking to put a truck in Florida. So, Nate is doing the same thing, in a totally different way, and he is very happy about it (and we don't have to move!).

In order to get through this transition we have really had to band together! Xander and I have always thought of ourselves as a little team, but we had to add Nate to the roster after his initiation last week. I was sorry the transition was so hard on all of us, but there was an enormous amount of satisfaction on my part when my husband really understood how much goes on at home during the day!

Clearly I'm rambling, its the lack of sleep. I know none of this is making any sense, and thats ok. The bottom line is that the last week has been challenging, and the next couple of weeks aren't going to get any easier. But, with my little X around, everything somehow always seems to be amazing. I'm starting to wonder if he's slipping me happy pills when I'm not looking. Or maybe it's a breastfeeding high (like runners high....) whatever it is, no matter how bad things get, I still seem to be freakishly happy. Definitely a problem I think I can live with ;-)

Such cute photos! I especially like the one of you and Nate smooching and you and X in the pool. Glad things are getting better!
