We are walking!!!

Whew! Time is just flying by! I seem to never have time to write anymore! I only have a few minutes now because I have enchanted Xander with an episode of the Backyardigans! I honestly believe he loves them. He reaches out to Pablo and tries to touch him constantly, and the smile that breaks out on his face each time Pablo talks is hilarious. My favorite though, is how he shouts all the way through the opening music to each episode. He is trying to sing along! Too cute! So we've graduated from using the excersaucer for a few minutes of peace here and there to the TV. And thats not the only change!

Last week Xander took his first steps! It was a long teasing road to walking, but he has finally figured it out! He started with one step, then two by the end of the day. The next day he was crossing rooms! Of course with all steps forward, there is always the backslide, and for the next two to three days he wouldn't even stand up! Thank goodness for video, I was starting to think I imagined him walking! But yesterday he decided he liked walking again, and realized he could walk without my cheering him on. He has started initiating his own walking to toys or parents. It's so much fun watching the wheels in his head turn, and then the moment of realization cross his tiny face! Now that he knows he can just let go and walk I know we are into a whole new world of trouble!

Yesterday was a fun and different day for me. Since I am still breastfeeding, I don't get away from Xander all that often. The Orlando mothers of multiples get together and have giant sales 2-3 times a year, and yesterday was that day! Coleen, Megan, Kerry, and I braved the crowds and grabbed some amazing used toys and clothes! Coleen and I raided the toys since we have boys (and lets face it, boys clothes are NOT that amazing...) and Megan and Kerry hit the clothes. By the end of two hours we had completely loaded two SUV's with hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars worth of baby stuff for just a couple hundred dollars total! From there, Coleen and I hit Bikram Yoga. It's 90 minutes of intense yoga in a very hot (like 100 degrees hot) room. We were dripping with sweat before the class even started! Somehow, we both made it through the class, completely soaked through and exhausted! It took a smoothie, a sandwich, advil, a shower, and two hours before I stopped feeling like I was going to die! But today I feel phenomenal, and the crazy part is I can't wait to go back for more! We capped off the day by having over a friend whose wife and baby have been out of town for a few weeks. The 3.5 of us grilled out and had a great night. It was a pretty unusual, but great day all in all!

I can't believe my little guy is about to turn 1! His invitations arrived, and are ready to go out! I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family! I feel like we just climbed Mount Everest a couple of times over and it's time to cut loose!

I know this post was long, but hopefully it will hold us all over until I can bribe X into letting me write again! Hope all is well with everyone! For more photos and videos, don't forget to check out our photo site!
