Babymoon

This weekend Nate and I had our 'babymoon'. Its basically the pregnancy version of a honeymoon, one last vacation before everything changes. We are saving up all of Nate's vacation time for the baby, so we really didn't have much to spare this year, other than a long three day weekend. Since time was scarce we planned one super close to home and went out to Cocoa Beach for the weekend. It was super relaxing and fun, it was almost as refreshing as our trip to the Bahamas a year ago, but not quite as active. I was able to putt-putt my way through 36 holes! We won't mention that one super hormonal mood swing I had half-way around the second round, or the fact that I was pretty much wiped out for the rest of the day, but I think its mildly impressive to putt-putt 36 holes when you are 30 weeks preggo!

Nate and Lauren got the nursery painted, and it looks great. As soon as Nate gets around to putting up all the wainscoting he bought for the bottom half, the room will just be waiting for furniture and an occupant! We got our first package in the mail this week for Xander, it was so exciting! I took so much pleasure in each tiny gift and article of clothing. I even can't wait to wash them.... who would ever thought I would actually want to wash something!

Xander's first little friend was actually born the day of my last posting. His name is Hunter Gator Garrison, and he is so cute! I think he is the first newborn I have held since Sabrina, so I was glad to have that chance before X arrives! There have just been a slew of boys being born around, including a neighbor this past weekend. Xander will definitely have friends! And for that I am very grateful!

Other than that, life is pretty good. The most I can complain about is achy hips and the house being dirtier than I prefer! My doctors appointments are going to start being every two weeks now, and we have finally signed up for our classes. I can't believe that after all this time there will actually be a baby here soon!

The nursery in progress, yes its blue... not because he's a boy, because its the ocean, duh!

On every beach vacation we always have one seagull friend, and here is the one from this trip..

My 'yeah we are on vacation' self portrait, and yes, that is my belly button!

Nate's standard 'yeah I'm on vacation at the beach, man!' photo:

My belly this week (30 weeks), I thought it could use a few minutes of sun!
