SURPRISE!!
Baby Shower, that is!! This weekend my sisters and mom surprised me with a fabulous baby shower! I can't believe everybody kept it from me all this time, especially my wonderful husband who had to see me everyday and tell me all those little white lies! Yes, I had my suspicions, but no hard evidence that a surprise shower was on the horizon. There is no way I could have been more delighted to come home (well, my parents home) to house full of family. All the way up until the front door opened I was unsure of what to expect, which is a true accomplishment! I love a good mystery!! Cristy did an amazing job of planning a party that was perfectly suited to me, Sabrina had her trademark adorable touches everywhere, and my amazing Mom executed everything to perfection.
Not only was I surprised by the party, but I was shocked by the number of people who came, spent their afternoon with me, and brought Xander such amazing gifts! My in-laws even travelled across the state just to spend the afternoon at my shower. In case you can't tell, I have no idea how to express my gratitude for everyone's efforts, generosity, and love. I can't tell you enough how very humbled I am, how incredibly grateful I am to have had this opportunity, how this will remain a very special memory for me.
Xander, and by proxy Nate and I, made out like a bandit! I was having a mild heart attack trying to figure out how we were going to pay for all the things he needs on our own, without dipping into my maternity leave money.
Hopefully Nate's mildly herniated back will be better soon so we can finish the nursery and get the house ready. I can't wait to share shower pics as soon as I get some!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! To everyone for my shower!
